The project concerns the development of the integrated tourist resort “NAVARINO RESORTS – Navarino Dunes” in the plot of 1,300,000 m2 located at Romanos in the southwest Peloponnese on the Messinian Peninsula near Pylos, the largest tourist development in Greece the recent years. The tourist complex includes one 5-star hotel with a capacity of 320 keys (or 769 beds), one 5-star hotel with a capacity of 445 keys (or 1,114 beds), one conference center to accommodate approximately 1,200 delegates, one thalassotherapy – SPA center, one 18-hole golf course, indoor and outdoor athletic facilities and supporting infrastructure. Each hotel comprises a three levels central building surrounded by bungalows and suites made of one to three storey buildings with traditional wooden roof. Many ground floor suites have their own separate swimming pool. The conference center is developed in three levels corresponding to the hotels central buildings levels being in touch with them and includes numerous shopping and recreation areas. The supporting infrastructure includes a waste water treatment plant, a sea water pump station for the thalassotherapy – SPA center, golf course and planting irrigation system, water supply system, sewage and rainfall water drainage system, lakes, swimming pools, parking areas, tennis courts, roads and landscaping. |
