C&M ENGINEERING is commissioned with the Detailed Engineering Design (Civil, Architectural, Electrical / Mechanical), the Permitting Services / Permit Issuance, the coordination of the engineering studies and the provision of technical support, for the Arcadia Plastics Recycling Plant.

Project Owner is Arcadia Plastics Recycling Single-Member S.A., and the Contractor is TERNA Energy Asset Management S.A.

The purpose of the Arcadia Plastics Recycling Plant is the reprocessing of plastic waste through shredding, washing, and the production of secondary plastic raw material through a combination of thermal and mechanical processes.

The plant is designed to minimize or eliminate waste generation while reducing the consumption of resources, particularly energy and water.  To this end, the facility shall produce secondary fuel from materials recovered from plastic waste for use by energy-intensive industries, such as cement factories.  The plant shall also incorporate a waterwaste treatment facility, enabling treated water to be recirculated and reused through the various stages of the plastics recycling process.

The engineering studies are expected to unfold through 2026.
