Brief Project Description
Megalopolis Unit V refers to a natural gas fired Combined Cycle Power Plant that comprises of two (2) gas turbines, two (2) Heat Recovery Steam Generators (HRSGs) and one (1) steam turbine (2 + 2 + 1 configuration), one (1) by-pass stack per gas turbine, with a water-cooled condenser and a mechanical draft wet cooling tower for cooling the water.
Unit V consists of the following buildings, structures, facilities, site improvements and area works:
Demolitions and Preparation Works, Gas Turbines Building, Steam Turbine Building, By-pass Stacks, HRSGs Structures & Stacks, Transformers Yard, Control & Electrical Building, Black-start Diesel Generators Building, Auxiliary Boiler, Hydrogen & CO2 Bottles Building, Cooling Tower, Cooling Water Pipes, GRS Building, Fuel Gas Pipe Trench, Waste Water Collection Pits, Water Treatment Plant, Auxiliary Electrical Building of Cooling Tower, Fire Fighting Pumping Station, Sludge Cake Transfer Conveyors.
Location: Megalopolis in regional unit of Arkadia, Greece.
