Brief Project Description
Ptolemais Unit-V is a Lignite-Fired Steam Electric Unit, constructed at the exhausted lignite minefields of Komanos, approximately 4 km from Ptolemais SES.
The Unit is of maximum gross power output [Maximum Continuous Rate (MCR) operating at pure condensing mode 660 MWe capable for thermal load up to 140 MWth for the district heating system of the Municipality of Ptolemais.
Location: Regional unit of Kozani. West Macedonia, Greece.
