TAP AG Compressor Stations
Detail Engineering Design & Permitting Engineering for the Project “EPC Compressor Stations In Greece and Albania and a Metering Station in Albania”.
Brief Project Description
The Trans Adriatic Pipeline (TAP) transports gas from the Shah Deniz II field in Azerbaijan via Greece and Albania and across the Adriatic Sea to Southern Italy and further into Western Europe. The Trans Adriatic Pipeline starts near Kipoi on the border between Turkey and Greece, where it connects with the Trans Anatolian Pipeline (TANAP). From there TAP continues onshore through the entire territory of Greece and Albania from east to west all the way to the Adriatic Sea coast.
Two compressor stations were installed, one at Kipoi (GCS00) and one at Fier (ACS03), close to the Albanian landfall. Additionally, a metering station (ACS02) was installed at Bilisht at the Greek – Albanian border. Three Gas Turbine driven Compressor units (GTCs), of 15 MW ISO power each, were installed in each compressor station for the phase of 10 bcm initial annual flow rate.
