GASTRADE FSRU Alexandroupolis INGS
Detailed Engineering Design for the Pipeline System of the Alexandroupolis INGS.
Brief Project Description
The project at large (FSRU Alexandroupolis) consists of a Floating Storage Regasification Unit (FSRU), a Mooring and a Pipeline system connecting the floating unit to the Greek National Natural Gas Transmission System (NNGTS).
The FSRU is stationed at the sea of Thrace, approximately 17.6 km SW of the town of Alexandroupolis in Northeastern Greece, at an offshore distance of approximately 5.4 n.m. from the nearest shore.
The specific Gas Transmission Pipeline has a nominal diameter of up to 30”. It is comprised of an approximately 24 km subsea and a 4 km onshore section. The pipeline crosses the shore approximately 4 km east of Alexandroupolis. Near the shore crossing area a coastal valve station has been constructed.
